Dana-Farber Cancer Institute

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute

For more than 50 years, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute has led the advancement and delivery of stem cell transplantation and cellular therapies in collaboration with its clinical partner Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Our Adult Stem Cell Transplantation Program is one of the largest and most experienced transplant centers in the world. We have performed more than 12,400 transplants for the treatment of blood cancers and related disorders since our program began in 1972. Our center-specific outcomes have been recognized as among the best in the world.

Our program is also at the forefront of emerging cellular therapies for blood cancers and solid tumors. We are the highest-volume CAR T-cell therapy center in New England and one of the largest nationally. We offer all FDA-approved CAR T-cell therapies as well as gene therapies for sickle cell disease and beta thalassemia. In addition, we have many clinical trials testing CAR T and other forms of cellular therapy for treating blood cancers, solid tumors, and hemoglobinopathies.
