Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is an NCI-designated cancer center and a nationally recognized leader in stem cell transplant and cellular therapy. The program is known for clinical expertise, strong outcomes, and ongoing contributions to advances in transplant and cellular therapy. Physicians at Roswell Park have played a long-standing role in the development of stem cell transplantation and CAR T-cell therapy and continue to lead research that shapes current standards of care. Patients may have access to clinical trials studying new transplant approaches, cellular therapies, and supportive care strategies when appropriate.
Roswell Park holds multiple national recognitions and accreditations. Roswell Park is designated by Optum as a Center of Excellence for stem cell transplant for both adult and pediatric patients. It is certified by the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT) as both an adoptive cellular therapy program and a bone marrow transplant program. Roswell Park is accredited by the National Marrow Donor Program and approved as a transplant center by the BMT Clinical Trial Network. The center has also been named a Blue Distinction Center for both Transplant and Cellular Immunotherapy – CAR-T.
Roswell Park is recognized as a Center of Excellence with strong clinical outcomes. In 2024, adults undergoing allogeneic stem cell transplant achieved a 100% six-month survival rate. Care teams focus on evidence-based strategies to reduce complications, shorten hospital stays, and support recovery.
Patient care extends beyond medical treatment. Patients and caregivers have access to coordinated services including transplant education, care coordination, nutrition support, physical therapy, mental health services, spiritual care, and specialized programs for pediatric and young adult patients. Care is provided from initial consultation through long-term survivorship.
